KADAPA: Extending her support to the ongoing indefinite fast of TDP Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh and MLC BTech Ravi for Kadapa steel plant, DMK leader and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi visited the protest camp here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the DMK MP said there is no other go but to fight for the rights of the State.
The DMK leader said injustice was done to Andhra Pradesh during the State bifurcation.“I still remember those days when Ramesh stood in the Rajya Sabha holding placards opposing the State bifurcation,” she said.

Kanimozhi also lambasted BJP-led NDA government for failing to respond even after seven days of indefinite fast. She said the NDA government which came to power after promising to bring back black money stashed in foreign countries failed to do so and succeeded in burdening the people by implementing the GST in a hurry.

Meanwhile, Telugu Desam parliamentary party office secretary N Satyanarayana informed the Secretary to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha about the indefinite fast of CM Ramesh since June 20.On the other hand, the health condition of Ramesh and Ravi has deteriorated further. RIMS hospital doctors examined the fasting leaders and cautioned them on their falling blood sugar levels.

Meanwhile, the District Collector apprised the government about the deteriorated health condition of the fasting leaders. TDP leaders said that the police made a vain bid to shift the fasting leaders to hospital.
Meanwhile, IT Minister Nara Lokesh tweeted, “Kadapa Ukku Andhrula Hakku’ (Kadapa steel is Andhra’s right).

Lack of response from the BJP even after CM Ramesh’s fast entered 7th day shows how negligent BJP leaders are towards Telugu people. The BJP leaders should stop their propaganda and take the Delhi route to bring pressure on their bosses for implementation of assurances given to AP.”
