VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has asked the party leaders to condemn the alleged false propaganda being spread by the YSRCP and its affiliated media regarding the submergence of the capital city Amaravati, and other projects.

“There is a party with a criminal history in the state. The leaders of that party will continuously spew venom and propagate lies through their affiliated media and social media. We have to condemn them from time to time,” Naidu told TDP MLAs, ministers, MPs, and other leaders during a teleconference on Monday.

Referring to reports that Ponnur was submerged for Amaravati and the non-functioning of Kondaveeti Vagu lift irrigation pumps, Naidu alleged that the YSRCP is trying to confuse people with false propaganda.

Underscoring the need to condemn the fake news being spread by the YSRCP, the Chief Minister said that ministers and party leaders should be cautious on such issues, as there is a possibility of people believing the false news if it is not condemned in time.

“Apart from talking good, we should also sensitize the people about the misinformation. Party MLAs, MPs, in-charges, and activists should be more disciplined on the false propaganda spread against them,” Naidu told the TDP leaders. He highlighted the success of the “Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu” (First step in good governance) program, which aimed to explain the government’s schemes to the people.

Naidu said that the massive outreach program had connected directly with 1.24 crore families across the state and received positive feedback.

The movement of party leaders during the campaign was tracked through a dedicated app to monitor which villages were visited and when. Naidu attributed the success to the effective implementation of the Super Six schemes, which include increasing pension amounts, Thalliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhava, and free bus travel to women.

He advised the leaders to mingle with people and explain the programs being implemented by the government.

‘TDP panels by Aug-end’

Naidu also informed that the party’s rank and file would be rewarded with nominated posts for their hard work. Apart from filling the Agriculture Market Committees and Corporation Chairman posts, other posts will also be filled soon.

He emphasized that party committees are expected to be completed by the end of the month and reminded leaders to act responsibly, avoid controversies, and refrain from actions that could damage party or government’s reputation.

Naidu lauded party workers and leaders who contributed to the recent by-election victories in Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections. He said the situation in Pulivendula reflected the voters’ desire for justice and their appreciation for the opportunity to exercise their franchise after 30 years.
