VIJAYAWADA: Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh called upon leaders and workers of the TDP to actively connect with people and work towards resolving their issues at the grassroots level. As part of his visit to the TDP headquarters at Mangalagiri on Tuesday, Lokesh went through the training sessions for cluster in-charges.
Addressing party functionaries, he described them as the future leaders of the TDP and said they would play a crucial role in shaping the party’s direction over the next four decades. “The party must continuously evolve in line with changing times. Activists and leaders who perform well will be identified and elevated to higher positions, including the politburo,” he said.
Lokesh said the party was fortunate to have a leader like Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who encouraged reforms, youth participation, and organisational strengthening. He stressed that cluster in-charges must take responsibility for building a strong party structure at the local level. “If we want to bring the change we envision within the party, we must work hard. Once a decision is taken, it must be implemented without deviation,” he said.
Lokesh alleged that TDP leaders and workers faced several challenges during the YSRCP region.
He also accused YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of falsely claiming credit for major industrial projects in the State.
“The party is permanent, while positions are temporary. The respect we enjoy comes from the party. We must work unitedly and remain committed to our ideology,” he said.
