VIJAYAWADA: Minister for HRD and IT Nara Lokesh left for New Delhi on Wednesday. He got the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
Lokesh will be present in New Delhi to witness the Rajya Sabha proceedings. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Vice President of India and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, C P Radhakrishnan, to convey the gratitude of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
In a post on ‘X’ Lokesh informed that he watched the entire debate on the Amaravati Bill in the Lok Sabha.
The debate highlighted the history, culture, and importance of Amaravati, evoking a strong sense of pride among the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said.
He noted that the support extended by the Central Government and various political parties reflected the aspirations of nearly five crore people of AP.
He said the debate in the Lok Sabha once again brought national attention to Amaravati and underscored its significance as the state’s capital.
Finding fault with the YSRCP members for staging a walkout from the Lok Sabha without participating in the debate on Amaravati, Lokesh termed it an act of “betrayal.” Lokesh said Amaravati would remain the enduring capital of the state.
