VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to leverage advanced technologies—including AI Assistant, DigiVerify, Data Lake, and Blockchain—to streamline online service delivery and eliminate the need for citizens to physically visit government offices.
Reviewing the performance and progress of various departments at the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) meeting in the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister stressed the need for operational efficiency and service quality across all government wings.
Addressing the 1,204 public services currently offered through the WhatsApp-based Manamithra governance portal, the Chief Minister instructed officials to simplify data entry procedures.
He made it clear that full data integration across departments must be established so that citizens are no longer required to upload certificates manually for government services.
Reviewing the state’s agricultural situation amid El Niño conditions, officials informed the Chief Minister that crop yields across Andhra Pradesh are expected to drop by 20 per cent compared to normal levels. They assured him that Godavari waters could be routed to the Krishna Delta via the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme until the end of September.
Taking stock of the situation, Naidu ordered officials to ensure adequate water supply for standing crops, promote alternative non-paddy crops in unsown areas, and issue continuous real-time crop alerts to farmers while monitoring follow-up actions using APTS Analytics integrated with the AWARE platform, alongside ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply. On public health, the Chief Minister instructed authorities to identify high-risk hotspots and implement strict vector control measures to prevent dengue and malaria outbreaks.
Officials reported significant progress, noting that dengue cases fell sharply to 401 compared to 1,361 cases logged during the same period last year.
Highlighting long-term environmental goals, Naidu urged officials to prioritise renewable energy initiatives to reach carbon neutrality, directing them to draw up an action plan to promote rooftop solar installations across the state.
