P GANNAVARAM (BR AMBEDKAR KONASEEMA): Asserting that he remains deeply committed to value-based politics, poverty alleviation, and the State’s development rather than political retribution, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that while exacting vengeance takes only a minute, he deliberately chooses patience and democratic restraint in governance.
Addressing a massive public gathering as part of the ‘Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku’ programme at Panduvaripeta in P Gannavaram constituency on Wednesday, the Chief Minister recalled the events of September 9, 2023, when he was arrested at midnight in Nandyal by the previous regime without prior notice or proven charges.
Refusing to let personal rancour dictate the State policy, Naidu emphasised that his 48-year political journey and decades of executive experience—having first assumed the office of Chief Minister 31 years ago—have always been guided by a steadfast commitment to public service.
He reiterated that despite decades of malicious allegations and legal hurdles, no charge against him has ever been proven in court, serving as a testament to his integrity.
To ensure his family remained financially independent of politics, he had established a family business 36 years ago, and handed its management entirely to his wife during his tenures as Finance Minister and Chief Minister.
CM conveys gratitude to Telugu diaspora for expressing solidarity
Reflecting on his 53-day incarceration in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail, the Chief Minister expressed lifelong gratitude to the Telugu diaspora across India and globally who took to the streets in solidarity.
He specifically highlighted how techies in Hyderabad staged protests, and praised Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for standing by him without backing down, despite facing State blockades and harassment himself.
Naidu noted that courts have since thrown out the previous regime’s cases while Central agencies like the ED confirmed a complete lack of merit in the allegations. Drawing parallels to past State actions, he recalled how leaders like K Atchannaidu were forcibly arrested, and Pawan Kalyan was forcibly turned back from Vizag.
Stressing his uncompromising stance on law and order, Naidu recalled surviving a Naxalite claymore mine attack at Alipiri without abandoning his core values, as well as ordering the arrest of two MLAs from his own party in the past when they engaged in factional violence.
Turning his focus to the opposition YSRCP, referring to it as the ‘Axe Party’, the Chief Minister cited historical family disclosures to illustrate its leadership’s nature.
Naidu expressed joy over fulfilling his role in inaugurating the Veligonda project and providing water to North Andhra through Polavaram left canal.
Highlighting the strengths of the NDA, Naidu stated that the strong 2024 public mandate acted as a vital force in New Delhi, securing substantial Central funding for the construction of Capital Amaravati and the execution of the Polavaram Irrigation Project.
Concluding his address, Naidu affirmed that his government, following two-day orientation meetings with MLAs and district collectors, continues to collect real-time citizen feedback to refine public service delivery, urging the electorate to remain vigilant against political conspiracies.
