VIJAYAWADA: Payment of the 24th PM-KISAN installment could be delayed for more than 7.34 lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh if they fail to complete their Farmer Registry as the Centre proposes to make the Farmer Unique ID mandatory for future fund releases.
According to the latest Farmer Registry progress report, Andhra Pradesh has 64.71 lakh PM-KISAN beneficiaries against the registration target.
Of these, 52.07 lakh farmers have completed their registration, accounting for 80% of the target, while 12.65 lakh registrations remain pending.
More importantly, 7,34,215 active PM-KISAN beneficiaries are yet to be enrolled in the Farmer Registry. Another 1,08,482 cases are pending at various Revenue logins for processing or verification.
The Farmer Registry is intended to create a verified database of cultivators by linking farmer identities with land and agricultural records. The Farmer Unique ID is expected to facilitate access to various agricultural schemes and government services.
It assumes significance as PM-KISAN assistance is a key source of direct income support for lakhs of farmers.
Srikakulam tops list of dists with pending registrations
In Andhra Pradesh, the scheme, PM Kisan-Annadata Sukhibhava, provides 20,000 annually to eligible farmers in three equal instalments. The government released the 23rd installment of PM-KISAN on June 20, 2026, making the forthcoming payment the 24th installment.
The district-wise figures show considerable variation in registration progress. Srikakulam has the highest number of pending registrations with 45,295 , followed by Nellore with 42,374, Anantapur with 39,960, Alluri Sitarama Raju with 38,434 and Kadapa with 35,270. Palnadu has 30,818 pending registrations, Anakapalli 30,809, and Sri Sathya Sai 30,735 respectively. In Vizianagaram, 30,389 farmers are yet to complete registration, 30,161 in Nandyal, 28,735 in Tirupati, 25,891 in Annamayya, 25,327 in Markapuram, 23,214 in Chittoor, and 22,343 in Krishna. Bapatla has 19,366 pending registrations, followed by Eluru with 19,100, Kakinada with 19,073, Konaseema with 19,059 and NTR with 18,430.
The registration coverage is highest in Kurnool at 96%, followed by Nandyal at 90%, and Anantapur at 88%. Anakapalli and Sri Sathya Sai have achieved 85%, while Srikakulam and Kadapa have realised 83% each. On the other hand, Visakhapatnam has recorded only 56% registration, Alluri Sitarama Raju 61% and Polavaram 63% respectively.
The Agriculture Department has directed officials to intensify field-level mobilisation, identify farmers who are yet to register their names, and assist them in completing the process. Revenue officials have also been asked to clear pending cases so that eligible beneficiaries are not held up because of unresolved registration or verification issues.
With more than 80% of the State’s overall Farmer Registry target already covered, officials are now focusing on the remaining beneficiaries, particularly the 7.34 lakh active PM-KISAN farmers whose registration is still incomplete. Field officials must use village-wise lists, personally contact pending beneficiaries and facilitate their enrolment. Thorough verification is essential to identify eligible farmers, and ensure access to scheme benefits, said Agriculture Director Manazir Jeelani Samoon.
