MADIKERI: Sri Rram Sene chief Pramod Mutalik declared that even slapping of 1000 cases cannot deter him from his uncompromising fight for setting up a ‘Hindu nation’ in Iindia. He blasted the ruling BJP for what he called its ‘ingratitude’ towards the Hindu outfits.

Mutalik, who was shifted from Mangalore to here on Saturday night, was speaking to reporters in the jail ward of the district hospital on Sunday. A Virajpet court has issued a body warrant against him in connection with a case regarding his provocative speech at the Hindu Samajotsava held in Gonikoppa in 2003. Mutalik was shifted to the district hospital here for treatment as he complained of slight illness and body pain. He will be produced at Virajpet Court on Monday.

He cautioned the BJP not to forget that whenever and wherever it came to power it is in the name of Hindutva. “Your acts of ingratitude towards Hindu outfits and putting the Hindu leaders behind bars will not do any good for you. Like in Uttar Pradesh you will lose power in all states,” he said.

Pramod Mutalik said that a total of 53 cases were booked against him in 15 districts across the state, while proceedings were on in 12 cases.

He thundered: “Even slapping of 1000 cases against me, will not deter me from my path. Sri Sene will continue its fight for setting up Hindu nation.” He clarified that the Sene activists would do everything in a democratic way and not resort to any violence or take the law into their hands.

Mutalik claimed that Sene activists’ act of questioning the ‘pub culture’ has resulted in a nation-wide debate on the issue. has served as an awakening call on the need of following the Hindu tradition and culture, he said.

He came down heavily on Karnataka Wakfs Minister Mumtaz Ali Khan for urging the government to ban Sri Rram Sene.

“Let the minister first look into the activities of Karnataka Forum for Dignity.

Let him first urge the government to nab the culprits behind the Bangalore blasts,” he said. Mutalik urged the state government to stop cattle slaughter in the state.
