CHAMARAJNAGAR: Around one lakh devotees from Karnataka and neighbouring states witnessed the Mahadeshwara car festival in Male Mahadeshwara hills on Monday. Sallur Mutt Seer Sri Guruswamy inaugurated the festival. Devotees, including newly-married couples thronged the temple to offer puja to Lord Mahadeshwara placed in a wooden car. It is believed that child less couples would be blessed with children if they offer fruits and puja to Lord Mahadeshwara.
