BELGAUM: The bodies of all the five children of Bavakhan and Khalif families of Avaradi village in Ramdurg taluk, who had drowned in Malaprabha river were fished out on Sunday.
Since the current was fast, the swimmers took a long time to trace the bodies of two of the boys. Ramdurg MLA Ashok Pattan urged the administration to book murder case against those engaged in sand mining activities, which, he said, was the reason for the tragedy.
