Former IAS official K Shivaram urged the Congress high command to appoint KPCC president G Parameshwara as the deputy chief minister.
The self-proclaimed state president of the Chalavadi Maha Sabha, who hails from Parameshwara’s community, was here as part of a state tour to organise the community.
He told reporters here on Sunday that he would organise an event in Bangalore, in the wake of the Parliamentary polls, in which 5 lakh people would take part. “The touchables within the SC category with 17 MLAs have snatched the benefits of untouchables who have 19 legislators, despite their population being only half,” he said.
