MLC Y A Narayanaswamy (BJP) urged the State government to take up the ambitious Yettinahole project to provide a permanent solution to drinking water problems of Kolar and Chikballapur districts.
Raising the issue in the Legislative Council, he said the ground water level has gone down so much that water is not available even after sinking borewells up to 1,500 feet in the region. This project would not only fulfil the long-pending demand of the people of this district, but would also address several health problems which they are facing now, he stated. BJP’s D S Veeraiah supported him.
