You don’t have an Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC)? You can still go to the polling booth and vote by producing any of the following 23 documents.
■ Authenticated Photo Voters slip
■ Passport
■ Driving Licence
■ Income tax identity (PAN) card
■ Service identity card with photograph issued to employees by the state or Central government, public sector undertakings
■ Passbook with photograph issued by public sector banks/post offices and Kisan passbook (Account opened on or before 31st March, 2013)
■ Student identity card with photograph issued by recognised educational institutions on or before 31st March, 2013
■ Property documents with photographs, such as patta, registered deed
■ Ration card with photograph issued up to 31st March, 2013
■ SC/ST/OBC certificates with photograph issued by competent authority on or before 31st March, 2013
■ Pension documents with photograph such as ex-servicemen’s pension book/pension payment order, ex-servicemen’s widow/dependent certificates, old age pension order, widow pension order with photograph
■ Freedom fighter identity card with photograph
■ Arms license with photograph issued on or before 31st March, 2013
■ Certificate of physical handicap along with photograph issued by a competent authority
■ Ex-servicemen C S D canteen card with photograph
■ Sandhya Suraksha Scheme card with photograph issued up to 31st March, 2013.
■ Job card with photograph issued under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme up to 31st March 2013
■ Yashaswini card with photograph
■ Service identity cards with photographs issued by local bodies, namely Municipal Corporations, City Municipal Councils, Town Municipal Councils and Village Panchayats.
■ Senior citizen cards bearing photographs of the holder of the card, issued by the government
■ Health Insurance Scheme smart card with photograph
■ Smart cards issued by RGI under the scheme National Population Register
■ Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI
Overseas voters
Voters who registered their names in the electoral rolls based on the particulars in their passport shall be identified on the basis of their original passport only in the polling stations.
Voters with EPIC or with any other specified document cannot vote if their name is missing from the electoral list.
Aged and physically-challenged people can exercise their votes without standing in a queue.
