BJP candidate of Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency Pratap Simha filed his nomination paper on Thursday after offering a puja at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in the city.
His wife Arpitha, daughter Vipanchi, legislators K G Bopaiah, G Madhusudhan and former MLC Thontadarya were present with him when he filed the nomination at 12.30 pm.
In his affidavit, Pratap has shown `7.82 lakh income. He has immovable properties worth `48 lakh in the form of a 30x50 site in Banashankari II Stage, Bangalore.
He has cash, bank balance and deposits worth `84,000, a Hyundai i20 car worth `5.30 lakh, Maruti Swift car worth `90,000, and Bajaj Pulsar worth `12,000. He has borrowed a loan of `43.97 lakh from different banks.
Ariptha has a 60x40 site in Vijayanagar IV Stage, Mysore. Its current market value is shown as `3 lakh. She has gold ornaments worth `3.96 lakh and silver articles worth `33,000.
Speaking to reporters, Pratap said the site in his wife’s name is a ‘G’ category site given by the government under the disabled quota.
He said he will extensively tour the constituency to enthuse party workers.
