BANGALORE: The Karnataka Unaided Schools Managements’ Association (KUSMA) has opposed the new fee structure drafted by the Department of Public Instruction for unaided schools.
KUSMA vice-president S Sathyamurthy said, “We will not accept it. Each school has the constitutional freedom to fix its own fee structure and this proposal of the government will be fully met with legal resistance by KUSMA.”
KUSMA’s secretary A Mariyappa said this will adversely affect educational quality.
“As the fee structure issue is purely a legal question, we have relevant information on why this proposed fee structure is not applicable to KUSMA’s member schools,” he added.
