BENGALURU: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested seven people, including an MLA, for illegally exporting iron ore from Belekeri port.
Among those arrested are Kudligi MLA B Nagendra, also the proprietor of Eagle Logistics and Traders, and his partner K Nagaraj. The others are Ajay Kharbanda of Greentex Mining Company, Yerri Baba, Rani Samukta, Farhan Sheikh and Nandini.
CBI sources said all of them have been remanded in judicial custody till Monday.
