Film Chamber to Give Rs 25L

BENGALURU:  After Sandalwood actor Yash extended help to the drought victims of  North Karnataka, the Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce (KFCC) has decided to donate `25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

During a meeting held at its office on Saturday, the film fraternity has decided to contribute towards addressing the drought issue in the state.

Speaking to Express, KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu said, “The state is severely hit by drought and the film fraternity will be doing its part to help those in need. We will also ask the distributors and theatre owners to contribute one day’s revenue for the welfare of people who are affected by drought.”

“Respective associations will discuss it with their members in the next few days and a decision will be taken,” he said.
