BENGALURU: The consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) on Friday announced the rank list for the recently held under graduate entrance test for engineering courses.
Like last year, seven students from the state are among the top ten rank holders. Rank number one, two, five, seven, eight, nine and ten have been bagged by Karnataka students. Adokshaja V MAdhwaraj secured the first rank with a score of 170. He is also the state topper in CBSE class 12 exams for which the results were announced recently.
This year over 68,628 candidates applied for engineering seats. Of them 55,680 candidates wrote the test. Following a Supreme Court order, COMEDK cancelled the test scheduled for medical and dental courses and conducted it only for engineering. The results of all candidates will be released on Saturday and candidates can log on to COMEDK official website www.comedk.org to know their scores/ranks using their applicant login.
The first 1000 rank holders have secured more than 70 per cent marks in the test while another 1,361 have got marks between 60 per cent and 70 per cent. Similarly, 2,373 candidates have got marks ranging between 60 and 65 per cent and 6,854 candidates have marks between 50 and 60 per cent.
