BENGALURU: Amid allegations of jail officials providing special treatment to AIADMK leader Sasikala, Express managed to get hold of a video grab from Parappana Agrahara jail, which confirms this. In the video, Sasikala is seen wearing plain clothes and is seen with two of her assistants. However, Express could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
In the video, Sasikala is seen accompanied by an assistant and a woman police personnel. Former DIG (prisons) D Roopa, in her report, had said that Sasikala was provided special treatment inside the jail.
“Sasikala’s cell is covered with a white cloth to block the view of the facilities provided to her. A yoga mat, chair, place to relax, cooker and stove have been provided,” an inmate alleged. Roopa also had alleged the same in her report.
“Some of the facilities provided to Sasikala have been withdrawn. But still she enjoys some privileges,” sources said.
