Not happy with how Congress is run: S M Krishna

Senior Congress leader S M Krishna on Sunday conveyed his displeasure over the way in which the grand old party is being run.

BENGALURU: Senior Congress leader S M Krishna on Sunday conveyed his displeasure over the way in which the grand old party is being run. However, he evaded a direct reply when asked if he was unhappy with the leadership and style of functioning of AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi.

“I will speak only about AICC president (Sonia Gandhi), not the vice-president,” he said.

When reporters persisted with the question whether it is time to look beyond Rahul to lead the party, Krishna, in a tone loaded with sarcasm, said, “It is a national party. I will look at only the party president. The vice-presidents, general secretaries and others do not matter for my seniority. I will look at only the Congress president at this juncture.”

No confrontation with Siddu govt

Krishna refused to comment about the way the state Congress leaders have ignored him. “Comments about the state Congress are irrelevant now,” he said.

He denied the possibility of any confrontation with the state Congress leadership. Recalling his role in bringing Siddaramaiah into Congress, Krishna indirectly conveyed his displeasure at the way the Siddaramaiah group in the state Congress ignored him.
