Siddaramiah, Deve Gowda reach out to people in Chamundeshwari

Chief Minister Siddaramiah continued his election campaign in Chamundeshwari constituency for the third day on Sunday and visited remote villages to reach out to voters.

MYSURU: Chief Minister Siddaramiah continued his election campaign in Chamundeshwari constituency for the third day on Sunday and visited remote villages to reach out to voters.Political activities gained momentum with Siddaramaiah accompanied by prominent local leaders and his son Yathindra kickstarting their campaign from Hootagalli. The CM, who held closed-door talks with leaders from Chamundeshwari constituency had breakfast at a local leader’s house in Hootagalli. He reached out to people in 18 villages where people showered flowers on him.

He addressed the gathering from his vehicle appealing them to continue their love and compassion towards him to serve people of Chamundeshwari.To recall his association with people of the constituency in the past 40 years, the CM was felicitated with a 750-kg garland made of apples that was brought in a crane. A large crowd pounced to take away apples in no time.

Campaigns turned colourful with JD(S) MLA G T Deve Gowda also launching a padayatra in Chamundeshwari constituency. He reached out to youths in Nagavala, T Katur, Hosa Hundi, Bandipalya and other villages. Many youths and local leaders joined the JD(S) in Murudahalli village. Hinkal gram panchayat vice-president C Swamy and leader Annaiah Nayaka joined the JD(S).
