Defending the party’s new-found love for ‘soft Hindutva,’ he said it was better than BJP’s hardcore hindutva which is violent. Over fight for tickets among the aspirants, Parameshwara said, “They are aspiring for tickets as they are confident that the party will be voted to power in next elections. You may describe it as mayhem, but in party terminology, Congress party is vibrant.”

Son’s act unlikely to affect Haris’ ticket chances
The son’s act is unlikely to deprive father MLA N A Haris of Congress ticket in next assembly elections. KPCC president G Parameshwara denied that pressure was mounting within the party to seek resignation from Haris. “What has happened with Haris can happen to anybody in any party. Haris also has apologised in the assembly and to the people,’’he  said adding we will collect opinion from the public and accordingly take  a decision.
