Rozgar mela gives opportunity to young generation: Joshi

BENGALURU:  Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said that over the past five months under the Rozgar Mela, 71,000 appointment letters were distributed to people from across the state.

He told the media on the sidelines of distribution of letters, that this is being done over the past five months and on an average, 1 lakh appointment letters have been given. The Prime Minister is also monitoring the distribution of letters at his level, and details of all vacant posts in government sectors are also being taken up at regular intervals. 

He added that the PM has issued directions to speed up the process. To ensure employment, the private sector is also being looked at for creation of infrastructure. Joshi said that around Rs 10 lakh crore capital investment was set aside for this, and entrepreneurs were being given loans liberally, creating the best atmosphere for work in India. 

PM Narendra Modi also virtually addressed the appointees on the occasion. The mela was held parallelly in 45 locations across the country. Recruitment was done in central and state government departments for various posts, including Gramin dak sevaks, sub-divisional officers, tax assistants, assistant enforcement officers, inspectors, nursing officers, constables. auditors, assistant professors and registrars. 

The mela in Bengaluru was organised by the Department of Posts, in coordination with the Ministry of Home, Ministry of Railways, Nimhans, Ministry of Labour and Employment and Controller of Communication Accounts. 

Joshi appealed to the Congress to form the government at the earliest and fullfil the demands of the people. On the future course of action of the BJP, Joshi said the party will introspect on what and how things need to be done. He said that the party has already expressed that the results were most disappointing for the BJP. But such things happen in elections and now we have to find the reason for it. The party has not taken the defeat lightely and instead has taken it as a challenge. He added that the party was gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.
