Reach KCET centres before 8.30 am: Karnataka cops

All photocopying centres in the vicinity of examination centres should remain closed on both days.

BENGALURU:  City Police Commissioner CH Pratap Reddy has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC in a radius of 200 metres from all KCET centres in the city on Saturday and Sunday. The prohibitory orders will be in force from 9 am to 3.50 pm on both days.

All photocopying centres in the vicinity of examination centres should remain closed on both days.
Meanwhile, the Police Department has made arrangements to help students appearing for KCET at St Joseph’s Indian PU College, Mallya Hospital Road, as this centre is opposite Sri Kanteerava Stadium where the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister and deputy chief minister and other ministers will be held on Saturday.

The department has asked students to reach all KCET centres near the stadium before 8.30 am. Students appearing for KCET at St Joseph’s Indian PU College, Mallya Hospital Road, may contact the ACP (Traffic Planning) on Ph: 9480801809 for assistance to reach the centre if they face any problem. They may also contact the traffic policemen deployed in and around the stadium.

The Karnataka Examination Authority and the authorities of St Joseph’s PU College have also made arrangements to help students reach the centre without any hitch on Saturday. Students appearing for the KCET afternoon paper may take St Marks Road and Vittal Mallya Road to reach St Joseph’s PU College in front of UB City.
