PATHANAMTHITTA: Thousands of pilgrims have arrived at the hillshrine of Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala for Vishukkani darsan on Tuesday.
Heavy rush of pilgrims was witnessed at Sopanam, Holy Steps and even at Nadappandal on Monday.
Vishukkani darsan
The devotees will have the facility for the darsan of Vishukkani at the Sreekovil of Lord Ayyappa, which will remain opened between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m.
As part of the preparations, thantri Kandararu Rajivaru along with melsanthi Vishnu Nampoothiri will make preparations for the Vishukkani after the Athazha pooja on Monday.
Kalabhabhishekam
Kalabhabhishekam will be the special ritual to be performed on the Vishu day for Lord Ayyappa.
Udayasthamana pooja, Padi pooja and Pushpabhishekam will be the other rituals to be held. The temple will be closed after Vishu festival on April 18.
