SABARIMALA: Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu said that the incident connected with the barring of Kandararu Mohanaru at Sannidhanam on Sunday was unfortunate .

Talking to newsmen at Sannidhanam on Monday, Maheswararu said that the decisions of the thantri relating to temple rituals were final.

The thantri said that he was against any kind of dispute on the issue of maintaining the powers of the thantri with the Travancore Devaswom Board or any other authorities concerned.

Thantri Maheswararu said that he would take up the matter with Hindu religious organisations and other Hindu bodies concerned.

He said the meeting the Guruvayur thantri had with Hindu organisations on the issue of the entry of non-Hindus to Guruvayur Sree Krishna temple would be an eye-opener in this regard.

‘Sabarimala incidents hurt sentiments of devotees’

Pathanamthitta: Hindu Aikyavedi general secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan has said that the incidents connected with Kandararu Mohanaru at Sabaraimala on Sunday hurt the feelings of the devotees.

Kummanam said that the sudden decision of Mohanaru to come to Sabarimala had made the situation more complicated and affected the sentiments of Ayyappa devotees across the world.

Instead of taking a decision after discussing the matter with a wide section of Hindu religious bodies, other thantris and mutt heads, the attempt of Moharanru to enter Thantri Madom is uncalled for at a time when the cases are pending before various courts and the findings of Justice Parimpoornan Commission remain still relevant.

Kummanan hailed the statement of Kandararu Maheswararu on discussing the matter at a joint forum of Hindu organisations.
