KOCHI: Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary T K A Nair presented the Symphony Lifetime Achievement Awards to Keltron founder K P P Nambiar, singer K P Udayabhanu and music director M K Arjunan at a function held here on Sunday.

Nair also presented three special category awards on the occasion.

The awards, instituted by the makers of popular prime-time music programme -`Symphony TV’ on Surya TV, were presented for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.

Uma Devi Nambiar, wife of K P P Nambiar, received the award on behalf of him.

Actor Mohanlal and poet O N V Kurup gave the citations and cheque.

Playback singer K S Chithra honoured the awardees by adorning them with shawls.

State Mission Director of `Arogyakeralam’ Dinesh Arora got the special award `Mission with a Vision’.

Director of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival K N Satheesan won the award for the `Most Innovative Initiative’ and Indiavision chief media executive M V Nikesh Kumar got the award for the best mediaperson.

The winners of the `Rangoli’ grand finale were also declared at the function.

The Sacred Heart College, Thevara, and the Government Arts & Science College shared the first prize while the Kerala Varma College, Thrissur, claimed the second position.

Symphony Television chairman J Alexander, managing director V Krishna Kumar, Abdul Wahab MP and Advocate-General C P Sudhakaraprasad were present at the function.
