KOCHI: Popular actor Rajan P Dev, who portrayed character roles on the celluloid with ease, passed away at a private hospital here on Wednesday. Dev, 55, was undergoing treatment for liver- related ailment at the hospital for the past few days. His condition turned critical on Tuesday and he breathed his last at 6.30 am on Wednesday.
The body was taken to his hometown Cherthala, where it was kept at the Municipal Town Hall for the public to pay homage. Later it was brought to Kochi and kept for public viewing at Ernakulam Town Hall. Rajan P Dev is survived by wife Shanthamma, sons Jubil Raj, Unni Raj and daughter Asha.
