THRISSUR: Singer K J Yesudas will inaugurate the Kidney Federation of India(KFI) here on October 30. The KFI is chaired by Fr Davis Chiramel, who had donated one of his kidneys to Gopinath, a patient, at a private hospital in Kochi on September 30.
TFI vice-chairman John Syriac said that by donating kidney Fr Davis had set an example for other organisations to emulate.
He said that Fr Davis would donate Rs 2 lakh, earned by selling his car, to a kidney patient on the occasion of the inauguration of KFI.
