ALAPPUZHA: Electricity Minister A K Balan said that Alappuzha district including Kuttanad will be fully electrified soon and Rs 42.3 crore will be spent for the electrification works in the Kuttanad area.
Balan was speaking after inaugurating the modernisation of power supply networks of Kuttanad here on Saturday.
The execution of project worth Rs 42.3 crore will be completed on March 2012 and first phase of the project worth Rs 18 crore will be completed on March 2010, he said.
Speed boats will be provided for KSEB employees to facilitate the availability of their service in water-logged regions like Kuttanad.
