GURUVAYUR: An arangettam bharathanatyam performance by cine artist Malavika Sunil (Baby Savithri), enthralled the audience at the Melpathur auditorium here on Sunday. Malavika staged a non-stop traditional bharathanatyam for nearly two hours before Sree Guruvayurappan as an offering.

Eight-year-old Malavika started learning dance from her father, a renowned dancer, Sunil Nellayi, and music from her mother and singer Resmi Narayanan.

Sunil Nellayi (nat-tuvangam), Resmi Narayanan (vocal) Tripunithura Sasikumar (mridangam) Suresh Namboothiri (violin) and Vinod (flute) accompanied Malavika.

Malavika, a class III student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, has acted in movies ‘Achuvinte Amma, Rasathanthram, Vinodayatra, Innathe Chinthavishayam and Rappakal.
