ALUVA: Hundreds of devotees performed the unique ritual of 36 pradakshinam around the Dakshina Kailasam Chandrasekharapuram Siva Temple at Muppathadam, near here, on Wednesday.
The ritual is performed on the first day of every Malayalam month at 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
The devotees walk 36 times around the temple in a procession. It is believed that the ritual will bring happiness, prosperity and purity of mind.
It was led by temple trust president K Saswathan Nair and convener Sivan Muppathadam.
