CHOTTANIKKARA: The 10-day annual festival of Chottanikkara Bhagavathy temple here concluded with Atham Valiya Guruthi at Keezhkaavu Bhagavathy temple on Monday night. The rituals related to Valiya Guruthi include the offering of guruthy, a mix of lime and turmeric in water in 12 gigantic bronze vessels.
The rituals were conducted by the temple priests headed by thantri Sankaranarayanan Namboothiripadu. The bronze vessels were placed in a decorated mandapam designed with plantain stems and tender palm leaves.
