KOTTAYAM: The 116th Maramon Convention, billed as Asia's largest annual Christian congregation, will be held on the sandbed of the Pampa at Maramon, near Kozhenchery, from February 13 to 20. The meet is being convened by the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA), the missionary wing of the Mar Thoma Church, upholding the ecumenical spirit and the reformation ardour of the 19th century which gave birth to the unique conclave.

The theme of this year's convention is "Where are you? Where is your brother?" The inaugural session will commence at 2.30 p.m. on February 13. There will be three public meetings from Monday to Saturday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. Bible study sessions, spanning for one hour for children, men and women, will be held from Monday to Saturday.
