ALAPPUZHA: The feast of Geevarghese at the St George Forane Church, Edathua, will begin on April 27.
Vicar Kurian Puthanpura will hoist the festival flag, marking the beginning of the feast. Mavelikkara Diocese Bishop Joshua Mar Ignathious and Changanassery archdiocese Bishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam will lead the Holy Mass on May 2 and 3 respectively. Kottar Diocese Bishop Peter Remijious will attend the special prayers and Holy Mass.
A procession will be held on May 7. Elaborate arrangements will be made for the visitors, Fr Kurian said.
The KSRTC and the KSWTD will ply special services as part of the feast which will conclude on May 7.
