Kannur Range DIG S Sreejith who is in the list of the police officers having criminal cases pending against them, has appealed to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy that he has been wrongly included in the list.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Sreejith stated that ‘’he has been included in the list only on account of a private complaint submitted by one Ramesh Nambiar before the Thrissur Vigilance court.’’
He argued that branding officers against whom only private complaints are pending was unjust as anybody could file a private complaint against any police officer raising wild allegations.
