A five-year-old Japanese boy drowned in a swimming pool at a private resort in Kumarakom on Tuesday.
The deceased is Kota Miya Hara, son of Miya Hara Mika. The incident occurred around 5 pm.
Kota Miya Hara was immediately rushed to Government Medical College Hospital Kottayam, Kumarakom police said. Hospital authorities said that the boy was brought dead and his body has been shifted to the mortuary.
