The high-level security at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium has turned to be a bane for former Indian football team captain Jo Paul Anchery. He had to face the ire of security personnel when he attempted to reach the podium to be with Maradona.
Timely intervention from the side of the police helped him enter the stage.
However, Anchery lost some of his life’s wonderful moments due to the delay. He attempted to enter the stage while I M Vijayan was sharing some light moments with the legend, Maradona. Anchery might also have got a chance to do the same if he had not lost time in reaching the stage due to the confusion from the side of the security personnel.
The rush from the side of the event management group and politicians to share podium with Maradona created scuffles with the securities. The inefficiency of the security personnel to identify the VVIPs worsened the situation. Some of the police personnel also tried unsuccessfully to enter the podium.
