Hindu Aikyavedi general secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan has welcomed the NSS and SNDP decision to work together for a broader Hindu unity.
Kummanam, in a statement issued here on Monday, said that the decision of both the leading Hindu community organisations to come together on one platform to face challenges by the Hindu society should be appreciated. Recalling the days of Bharathakesari Mannathu Padmanabhan and T K Madhavan who played key roles in the Vaikom temple agitation, Kummanam called for efforts for a well-knit front to fight against the denial of social justice to the Hindu community, especially the scheduled caste/scheduled tribe people.
The coming together of Mannathau Padmanabhan and R Sankar and the formation of Hindu Mahamandalam for the overall betterment of the people of the community should remembered, Kummanam said.
Notwithstanding the differences on many issues such as reservation, the coming together of the NSS and SNDP would rekindle the confidence of a large section of the Hindu community which faces complete neglect and sidelining, he said.
Both the organisations should realise and understand the commitment towards their brethren
belonging to the backward classes in the community.
