Former Forest and Cinema Minister K B Ganesh Kumar tendered a public apology to estranged wife Yamini Thankachi here on Tuesday for his derogatory remarks against her.
A visibly repenting Ganesh Kumar read out the written apology and requested the media not to continue any discussion on his family matters as it would adversely affect the future of his two children.
Ganesh said that it was unfortunate that the family matters were made public and allegations raised by him against Yamini.
He also admitted that the cases filed in the family court and police station were inapposite without fulfilling the conditions made in the deal with his wife. He apologised for the allegations made against Yamini that she had amassed huge amount from the forest mafia and acted against him.
As per the agreement, the house and the money agreed to will the given to his wife.A good atmosphere will be created for the betterment of the children. Ganesh Kumar said that the cases filed in the court and police station would be withdrawn. He thanked Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Labour Minister Shibu Baby John, T Balakrishnan, R Jayaprakash and K S Rajagopal for making the deal successful with Yamini. He also expressed gratitude towards the court in providing sufficient time to settle the case.
