Firebrand CPM leader M M Mani on Wednesday described the Chief Minister, Home Minister and P T Thomas MP as ‘worthless’ leaders who are dreaming to crush the CPM by raising false cases. M M Mani was speaking in Thodupuzha on Wednesday. Mani said that he had been facing torture for the past several months owing to cases imposed on him based on the drama scripted by them.
Involvement of Oommen Chandy and Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishan in the solar case has brought shame to the Congress party which is seeing its last rule in the state, Mani said while speaking at a welcome function organised by the CPM after the Kerala High Court relaxed bail conditions for his entry.
Chandy has brought shame to the chair of Chief Minister, which was once occupied by leaders such as EMS, C Achutha Menon and K Karunakaran, the former district secretary said.
However, he thanked Thiruvanchoor that the cases booked against him on the basis of his controversial speech at Manakkad had made him more strong and the party had become more popular. When the British and the leaders such as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had failed to tame the CPM, who are Chandy and Thiruvanchoor, he asked.
Targeting Chandy and Thiruvanchoor for ‘telling series of lies to save their skin’ in the solar issues, he said that the two were like elephants smeared in the muck. Mani said that the evidence coming in the media had forced him to doubt the character of Chandy.
He also said that he had heard gossips about Chandy during his youth, but the recent allegations against Chandy in connection with the solar issue and Saritha Nair was shameful.
Mani, who had been flaying the media for tampering his speech at Manakkaud leading to his arrest, praised them for highlighting the solar issue.
