The CBI team, probing the Kaviyoor rape case, submitted its third report before the CBI court reiterating its previous findings that Anagha was raped by her father Narayanan Namboothiri.

Based on the investigation report filed by the CBI in this case, in which the five-member family, including 15-year-old Anagha committed suicide, CBI special judge R Reghu posted the case to July 25 for further hearing.

Dr P Rema, former HOD, Forensic Department, and Chemical Analyst R Geetha, who conducted the post- mortem of Anagha had found out semen, which was not more than three days old, in her private parts.  The report pointed out that during the three days before her suicide, Anagha had not gone anywhere except her school.

“This means, her father was the only male in her proximity,” the report said.

The CBI also said that there was no evidence to establish the involvement of politicians or VIPs behind the suicides.
