It was Saritha S Nair’s relationship with K B Ganesh Kumar which ruined his relationship with Saritha and not because of his relationship with Shalu Menon, said Solar scam prime accused Biju Radhakrishnan in a letter released to the media through his counsel here on Tuesday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, M I Shanavas MP and many others were witness to this relationship, Biju alleged in his letter.
Saritha, in her deposition before the Principal Sessions Court here on Monday, alleged that Biju was a cruel man and she believed that Reshmi was killed by Biju. Saritha was tutored and she did not say anything against Biju when she was questioned by Crime Branch DySP Abraham in 2010, says the letter. “I loved Saritha and children very much and, for her and her family, I severed ties with my friends and family,’’ Biju Radhakrishnan’s letter claimed.
The letter said that a week ago, when Biju met Saritha at Karunagappally in police custody, she consoled him saying that he would soon be acquitted by the court in the Reshmi murder case.
“In one week she has changed her opinion. My son Appu was just three-and-a-half years old when the incident happened and the prosecution said his memories were clear. My son was deceived and, if not, why didn’t he tell this to anyone in this eight years,’’ Biju’s letter says.
