Two reports on the proposed Aranmula airport suggest a delimitation of the boundaries of the Aranmula Parthasarathy temple  along with some alterations on the  flagstaff of the temple.

The project report by the KITCO and the study report by the Airports Authority of India recommend placement of the temple entrance 285 metres away from its present position.

As in many earlier reports, both the reports recommend levelling of the hills around the proposed airport project. Both the reports suggest that, if these kind of hindrances are removed, there is an unlimited scope for the development on the northern side of the project. However both the reports slightly differ in dealing with the height of the flagstaff. While the KITCO report suggests a reduction in its height, the AAI report recommends a signal light on the same.

The AAI report restricts any hindrances beyond a height of 23.7 metres as the runway of the proposed airport is just 905 metres near the airport. It mentions that the flagstaff with a height of 30.8 metres is just 905 metres away from the runway of the proposed airport.

It also recommends to get the permission of the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment to reduce the height of the hills to 98 metre, 74 metre, 70 metre and 99.3 metre.

The KITCO report recommends conversion of the road from Aikkara junction to airport into national standard of 23 metres. It also recommends  acquiring land for converting it into a four- lane path.

It also seeks widening of the road from Parumoottilpady to Aikkara junction. It recommends water storage capacity of 1.2 lakh litres. The AAI team had visited the area on July 2, 2012, for making the report.
