KOTTAYAM: Entries have been invited for the Kerala Media Academy awards for the year 2014.
According to the press release issued by the State Public Relations Department, news reports published during January 1 and December 31, 2014 will be considered for the awards.
The award categories include V Karunakaran Nambiar Award for the best editorial published in print dailies, Chovvara Parameswaran Award for best investigative news report, Dr Murkkannoor Narayanan award for the best local reporter, N N Sathyavrathan award for the best human interest story, media academy award for the best news photographer and best performance in electronic media.
The winners will be awarded a cash prize of `25,000 along with a citation. If the report was not carried with the by-line, the story should be certified by the superior officer of the media organisation concerned.
The original copy of the story, along with three other copies should reach The Secretary, Kerala Media Academy, Kakkanad, Kochi - 682 030, before April 25. In the electronic media category, proposals from public will be considere for the award.
The proposals should specifically mention the programme along with its category and reach the above address or to mail@pressacademy.org.
