THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Monorail Corporation will now be known as Kerala Rapid Transit Corporation Limited (KRTC). The Registrar of Companies has given recognition to the new name. It was in view of the monorail project being replaced with the light metro project that a change of name was suggested. A GO proposing the new name had already been issued, and was awaiting the approval of the Registrar of Companies.
