Classes at IIIT-K to Begin on August 5

KOTTAYAM:  Ending years’ long wait, the academic classes at the Indian Institute Information Technology - Kottayam (IIIT-K) will commence on August 5. Being set up under the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, (MHRD) IIIT-K will function on the premises of Amal Jyothi Engineering College, Kanjirappally, till the works for infrastructure development are completed.

 Jose K Mani MP, who strove hard for getting nod for the institution, said that a total of 55 acres of land have been identified in Valavoor near Pala and construction works are progressing there.According to Jose, the project will be completed at total cost of Rs 200 crore in three phases.
