THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Almost a year after he triggered shock waves in Kerala’s political sphere with the bar bribery allegations against Finance Minister K M Mani, Biju Ramesh has done it again. And this time too, his revelations would be fodder for the Left.

Against the backdrop of the proposed SNDP-BJP alliance, the latest allegations against SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan as regards death of Swami Saswathikananda are sure to resonate in the panchayat elections. With the Yogam cozying up to the BJP, a worried CPM spearheaded by veteran V S Achuthanandan and PB member Pinarayi Vijayan had come out strongly against the alliance, warning that any such move to surrender Guru’s ideologies before the Sangh Parivar would be strongly opposed.

The recent meeting that Biju Ramesh, also the general secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Vedi, and its chairman Gokulam Gopalan had with CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, adds to the political significance of this new development.
