Catalanlabs Selected to Attend Major Startup Event 'Shift Conference' in Croatia

KOCHI: Catalanlabs, a bootstrapped startup in the wearables and IOT sector, has been selected as a delegate for Shift Conference - the biggest startup event in Southeast Europe, which will be held in Split, Croatia on June 11 and 12. Sandeep S, co-founder of Catalanlabs, will represent the company at the event.

Catalanlabs has been selected for its revolutionary product - PortuSpine - a wearable health solution for working professionals to reduce the likelihood of backpain by maintaining the body posture. “The device will detect the body posture and let the user know of the wrong posture through haptic feedback. The user is provided means to effectively prevent the onset of backpain,” says Sandeep. The user will also be able to interact with the mobile app to track his spine health details, understand the likelihood of back pain and take recourse. “This year, over 1,200 delegates and 20 international speakers will be attending the event. We will be pitching to eminent judges from Y-Combinator, Mashable, TechCrunch, 500 StartUps etc.,” says Jerric Lyns John, a co-founder of the company.

“We have been chosen as one among the 24 startups from across the world and we are the only startup selected from Asia which can participate in the Shift Challenge,” says Sangeet S, another co-founder of the company.

Sandeep S  is an alumnus of IIM Bengaluru.
