Strongly worded editorial

In a veiled criticism of CPM, the CPI said people would recognise the true colours of those who oppose the eviction drive at Munnar.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a veiled criticism of CPM, the CPI said people would recognise the true colours of those who oppose the eviction drive at Munnar.

A strongly worded editorial - Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and give unto God what is God’s - in the party mouth piece Janayugam said those who support the misuse of religious symbols were in fact supporting superstitions.

“The wide support for the eviction drive indicates nobody should be permitted to encroach upon government land. Other than certain emotional responses, even the Church appreciated the government’s action. They did not justify encroaching upon government land using religious symbols.

They have given strong support to the eviction drive,” said the editorial.
